We often hear that sensitive people are weak, easily moved to tears, and easily hurt. I've heard this since I was very young. At one point, I even believed it. But as I grew older, I realized that being sensitive doesn't mean being weak. It means being more attuned to emotions.
I can easily pick up on someone's sad gaze, even if they don't say anything. I'm easily moved by small things, like a quiet morning or the sound of children laughing in the next room. I often reflect, and sometimes feel exhausted by emotions without names.
But in return, I notice things that others often overlook. I live at a slow pace. When I look at my phone, I see a photo and suddenly feel grateful for that small moment.
I recall my childhood, when I often felt like a sensitive person. I cried easily, was easily hurt, and easily felt sad. But my mother always told me, "Don't be afraid of your emotions. Emotions are what make us human."

I didn't fully understand my mother's words back then, but as I grew older, I realized she was right. Emotions are what make us human. They help us perceive the world around us, connect with others, and find meaning in life.
However, in a world where strength and resilience are often valued, sensitivity is often seen as a weakness. People say that sensitive individuals are weak, not strong enough to face life's challenges. But I disagree. I believe sensitivity is a strength, not a weakness. It helps us perceive the world, connect with others, and find meaning in life.
So, if you're a sensitive person, don't be afraid of your emotions. Be proud of your sensitivity, and use it to make the world a better place.
As my mother said, "Don't be afraid of your emotions. Emotions are what make us human.
